About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in NY and CA. I have received clinical training at Bellevue Hospital, New York Foundling Hospital, and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. I completed my clinical internship at Montefiore Medical Center. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked at Montefiore Medical Center as part of the Behavioral Health Integration Program.

I specialize in helping individuals adapt to transitions (in relationships, work, school, and/or changes in family structure), treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, and improve relationships. I am trained in multiple evidenced-based therapies and integrate these principles and techniques to help people understand the underlying causes of distress, and learn new ways to tolerate and manage their emotions. This leads to improved coping, and increased agency over our choices, and greater life satisfaction.

In therapy, I incorporate flexibility, authenticity, and a touch of humor to create a trusting and warm therapeutic relationship. I believe in the inherent resilience of people and view therapy as an opportunity to build on the strengths we naturally possess. My therapeutic style is supportive, engaged, and collaborative.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Rochester in Psychology. I received my Psy.D. and masters degree (Master of Arts in General Psychology en route to doctorate) from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I trained at Bellevue Hospital, New York Foundling Hospital, and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center for clinical externships, and completed my clinical internship at Montefiore Medical Center. I received advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through my clinical internship. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked at Montefiore Medical Center as part of the Behavioral Health Integration Program providing evidenced-based treatment for a wide array of emotional and behavioral health difficulties including: depression, anxiety, adjustment to life stressors, ADHD, oppositional behavior, school compliance, etc.
